NYFW Roundup 2017

One of fashion's greatest events is finally over and boy am I tired! I'm back in San Francisco (after also traveling to LA), exhausted but ready to relax and reflect on what was one of the most amazing and craziest weeks for me this year. The Spring/Summer 2018 collections were filled with great amounts of style inspiration, off and on the runway, my heart overflowed. It's really awesome to continuously be surrounded by other individuals who are passionate about the development of fashion and the interest of what intrigues designers to create their pieces to debut each season.

One of my favorite collections from the week was designed by Minh Le of 831MinhLe, Vietnamese designer who makes chiffon that when worn, look like actual magic. So many dreamy soft colors and movement in her clothing, all the pieces made me want start frolicking in the woods. Another collection that specifically caught my eye was by another fairly new designer, Calvin Luo. His collection screamed "ready-to-wear", making great use of blue and pink pastels, shiny accents and gender fluidity. I believe this was his first time showcasing at NYFW which was super exciting because it was a complete knockout!

Aside from all the fashionable festivities I was able to spend time with old friends, meet some new ones, visit restaurants I had on my NY List and get more bearings on maneuvering around the city from day to day. This was my second time at Fashion Week and although suuuuper tired, I can't wait for the next one!
